New York Comic Con*drum roll and a little dance*
....I'm going State side!
Yes indeed, I have a place in the Artists Alley at New York Comic Con! They hand select the artist and I couldn't believe when my application was accepted! I will be there for all 4 days starting this Thursday. I'm so excited, I've been so busy lately it hasn't had a chance to sink in. It'll be my first time ever going over to the States, I have a couple of days after the convention to myself, so I'll get to explore New York a bit at least. Can anyone recommend things I should do/see there? Especially on the look out for lesser known excitements. It's the furthest I've traveled for a convention, and with outgoings so high I'm really not in this one for the money

Apparently half my dA visitors come from the US, and it's been my dream for a long time to go out and meet some of you! I'll do a journal cataloging all the funz when I'm back so you all can enjoy

First of all, who is MikeInel? If you never have heard of him, or saw his artwork, you surely miss something! MikeInel is a 24 year old guy who has a big passion for art and animations. He also makes some awesome games. What I like about Mike is his style, his concepts are wonderful and so deep. You can see he puts his heart in every drawing. If you are interested he also takes commissions a lot and has livestreams very often! So you can watch him work! Isn't that amazing!?
Mike is the maker of the famous animation, about a boy and a girl, separated by a glass wall: "Draw With Me."

Recently he had an "Object Tan" Contest. An Object tan is a character made from an object. (PS3-TAN, even Chair-tan, Fridge-Tan, Wii-tan and go on, haha)
The winner got an amazing animation made my him. The result is wonderful, I really let some tears seeing this. It has an amazing impact, on me

On that day so long ago, as I found myself suddenly knocked to the ground and overwhelmed with unfamiliar feelings of fear and confusion, there came flowing through me a very warm and crystal clear voice which seemed to emanate from my actual core, and said to me the words "Always stand back up", thereby showing to me the way to survive. Not "just" to survive though,

what is it with you?? why steal an art that's not yours?? every artist gives their best in doing their piece.. and after all their effort you just steal it and claim it as yours.. is it satisfying to be popular by using other people's work?? if you want them to recognize you why not do your best and show others what you can do?? you lie to them not knowing it's yourself you're lying to.. you don't have the courage and the confidence to show them what you've got.. with that you are not allowed to call yourself an artist.. because a real artist knows how to create an art with passion and at the same time appreciates and respects fellow artists..
you're not making a fool of others.. you're just making a fool of yourself..

Project; Things to do before you dieReally, I'm not much of a conceptual photographer; I see something pretty, I snap a picture of it - not much thought involved. It's a bit weird, therefore, for me to suddenly be up in the early hours of the morning writing out page after page of ideas for photos.
I've decided to start a project to gather pictures that represent things that I (and other people) would like to do before they die. Whilst everyone can think of the obvious (swimming with Dolphins, winning the lottery), I thought I'd stick to the more simple things that everyone really can do before they die, ie fall in love.
I was fairly certain I couldn't be the only person to start such a collection, but as much as I searched through the DA pages, I couldn't find any traces of one; I'm sorry if someone thinks I have 'stolen'/'copied' their idea, but I really haven't.
Help!!! So far I have a list of 36 goals (this is obviously going to be a long term project

) for which I have to find photos. I would, however, appreciate

You really don't know how nervous i was, my knees where shaking a lot while i was parking the car. But right now i am just happy that it is over. And i don't have to do anything for school these holidays

I feel like this event tops off an amazing, almost overwhelming month for me. Moved house twice, exhibited in 3 countries 2 continents, awarded a DD, met loads of supportive people. Haven't had a day off! XD Haven't seen my boyfriend for the month either and he's coming to help, can't wait to be scooped in his arms tomorrow evening ^-^

Info Updates & Mustache CupcakesHey guys! It's been a while and I haven't been too active on dA this past month but here's the journal to keep you all updated:
I've been busy speeding up the schedule so I can release my next webcomic, Fisheye Placebo

as soon as possible. The current release date is set to early 2013.

That means Knite had to slow down a bit since it's difficult to work on 2 projects at once. However, I still aim to update Knite ch5 beta strips around once a week. You may have noticed that in the past, I posted Knite in full chapter flash format, but I really enjoyed posting beta pages on my :iconknites: account since this allowed more audience interaction. The problem was switching between accounts was too much pain, and updating several pages a day flooded people's accounts. In the end, I decided to post strips on this account instead. The strips will only be posted once a week so if you don't want to be spoiled, just ignore the strips

Acronyms ahoy

Ohmigosh.

I am so tired. So very very tired. But I feel I should write this as the next milestone is coming up fast...

New York, the convention and the city was such a blast. Thank you to everyone who made my experience unforgettable.
I haven't got the strength to do a full write up with photos at the moment, I think early November will be when I get a chance to...

I had a really special moment when the place took off taking me home, I could see all the glittering lights of New York beneath me, I'd come somewhere so far from home, and been so welcomed, people had supported me, even made a bit of money. It was a big decision to go over there on my own. But it was so worth it, I felt like I took a running leap and landed on both feet, that kind of feeling. The plane was as high as my spirits, and climbing.

I will be back next year. That's the best praise I can give

Landed in England Wednesday morning, no chillaxing time unfortunately; preparing, printing and planning for the next con. Which isssssss....
